The project involved a comprehensive structural assessment of 99 (G+8) tenements at Sundaram Veethi, Coimbatore, under the HFA (AHP) program, with construction halted for 18 months due to structural concerns. The assessment included evaluating the structural adequacy, conducting NDT/PDT tests, and reviewing design compliance with building codes. Key findings revealed critical flaws in the original design, limiting the building's height and requiring retrofitting of over 500 weak structural elements. The recommendations focused on reducing the building configuration to G+3 floors, ensuring structural integrity and supporting the provision of affordable housing for 2,500+ residents.
