The project involved a comprehensive structural stability assessment of three residential blocks (C4, C5, and C6) at the CGST & Central Excise Staff Quarters in Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai, addressing significant structural issues like cracks, corrosion, and concrete degradation. A detailed condition survey was conducted, utilizing non-destructive and partial destructive tests, including concrete core, carbonation, and half-cell potential tests to assess structural integrity. The assessment provided actionable recommendations for retrofitting or demolition, ensuring safety and supporting CGST’s operational efficiency. The project demonstrated technical expertise in structural engineering, completed within a tight timeline, while minimizing disruption to CGST's operations.
