The project focuses on the conservation of the historic Nellaiappar Temple complex at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The conservation strategy involves soil stabilization through low-pressure grouting in identified distressed zones and the construction of a new retaining wall and reinforced foundation for the mandapam. Additionally, a site-specific stormwater management system was designed, aligning with the topography to facilitate effective water flow and contribute to the rejuvenation of the temple tank. These proposals aim to restore structural integrity and address the hydrological needs of the complex, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
